Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders: Psychosocial Needs

Meeting the psychosocial needs of a person with dementia is an important part of their care. Providing them with meaningful and engaging activities is one way to meet these needs. This course discusses creating meaningful and engaging activities for people with dementia. It also discusses common issues family members may experience when caring for a loved one with dementia.

The goal of this course is to teach direct care workers in post-acute care about the psychosocial needs of a person with Alzheimer’s disease.
